Country House Contemporary Steel and Glass Extension in a Conservation Area: Barnfield Gardens Ditchling

Contemporary Steel and Glass Extension to 1930s Country House with Conservation Area & Planning Approval and Building Regulations Approval (granted 2023). Firstly a single storey glass and steel wing extending the roof line of the (refurbished) garage along with a new glazed side entrance hall onto the entrance drive. Secondly the house external elevations are to be re-rendered over a new insulation layer finished with Parex render to upgrade the poor thermal performance of the building. Thirdly the first floor is redesigned and fourthly an ASHP is installed to service the underfloor heating and wet radiators within the house.
